Bacterial identification
Bacterial identification is the core proposition in MicroPhage's bacteriophage amplification platform. Lytic bacteriophage infect, replicate, and lyse target host bacteria once in contact and under the right conditions, giving rise to a strong surrogate protein signal (progeny phage). The process is simple – mix the clinical sample thought to contain the suspect bacteria with the proprietary reagents, incubate (allowing phage to amplify if present), and detect. Microbiology made simple.
